Fake marriage

Salaam,
One of our characteristics is to be honest. In that sence I don't know how a muslim can fake anything. Even if this is not a marriage valid "infront of " ALLAH (swt), Muslim don't brake their words, their contracts and so on. If we start to lie or to fake about certain things we will start to dilute the message of Allah and every thing we will speak about will start to be suspicious. Hence I don't know how these muslims will make an excuse.
