Jag vill ha ditt skydd
men inte din kontroll.

Jag vill vara dig hörsam
men inte behöva utplåna mig själv.

Du kan vara familjens förtrodda försörjare
men jag vill inte vara dig underkastad.

Jag vill ta del av dina kunskaper
men slippa din kritik.

Jag vill lyssna på dina bekymmer och glädjen
men jag vill också att du skall lyssna på mina.

Jag vill vara hustru och mor
men samtidigt vara en individ.

Jag vill inte ha din hjälp
utan jag vill ha din delaktighet.
